Black Strip
Life Drawing

Have a look below to see some of my relatively recent figure drawing works.

I’ve been drawing the human figure since I was 18 years old. My style has evolved over the years. Early on, I drew very slowly, carefully measured and thoughtfully plotted each mark. I rarely finished a drawing. After so developing my instincts, I now approach my drawings with little plan; I let them develop improvisationally – flow freely. My objective is not to represent what I see as closely as possible, but rather to create an interesting drawing that engages, involves the viewer. None of these drawings took more than 30 minutes to create, some as few as five minutes.
