Some examples of one-of-a-kind projects I designed for Mt. Hood Community College.
Mt. Hood Community College TRIO program retractable banner-stand.
12”x18” poster for the
Mt. Hood Community College Diversity Resource Center “Global Breakfast” event. This eventually became an annual event.
12”x18” poster for a Mt. Hood Community College Public Safety Department event. This was styled to align with the look and feel of the National Stalking Awareness brand. The design is othehwise mine.
Mt. Hood Community College Mobile App program brochure, outside panels, shown flat.
Mt. Hood Community College Mobile App program brochure, inside panels, shown flat.
One of many comps I created for MHCC’s “Sneaker Ball” auction theme. This is a proposed postcard invitation, 8.5”x5.5.” This design was not selected, but I like it.
Back, mail indicia side of proposed Sneaker Ball postcard invitation mailer.
Diversity Resource Center (DRC) triptych display : Each panel printed 24 inches wide, 72 inches plus separation-widths total. The background features a quilt superimposed with the DRC’s concentric wood-cookie image. This project was a challenge because of all the imagery and symbology requested to be incorporated.
MHCC Cycling Team jersey design : Front side is pictured on the left, backside on the right. This design violated MHCC logo style standards in that the logo is not to be cropped, nor mountain separated from the wordmark. This design was chosen, exception granted, because the design insinuates energy. The logo by itself is rather static.
Large-scale poster for MHCC’s Natural Resources program. This displayed in the Natural Resources Technology facility and is about four feet wide.
Large-scale poster for MHCC’s Automotive Technology program. This displayed in the Applied Technology hall, and is about six feet wide.
Mt. Hood Community College Mechatronics program poster, 12”x18.”
Entry sign for the Mt. Hood Community College Diversity Resource Center.
This is an ad that appeared in an MHCC quarterly class schedule. I wrote the “top 12” copy. The “Be xxx “ was the college’s flexible tagline.
Social media ad for an event presented by three MHCC departments. Text is kept to a minimum in most digital ads - additional information is provided in selectable text that accomanies the image.
“Fun Map” for MHCC’s annual Scrooge Lives holiday festival - gift fair.
Me in my College Advancement Office at MHCC. I eventually wallpapered the entire office with our graphics projects.
My office was eventually made the marketing department conference room, because it bore visible witness to all the work we did, and demonstrated that we did have a style, however loose at the time.
